The Mishne Torah was written with the puspose of unifying mankind in serving the Creator by keeping His commandments in accord with the rulings of the
ancient Mosaic Court, as He commanded us to do.
The Rambam emphasized the ultimate goals and purposes of the Torah throughout Mishne Torah. He was not sidetracked by the nuances of Jewish Law. They did not blind him from the Torah's ultimate goal's and purposes. He constantly reiterated the importance of the absolute singularity of the Creator and sanctification of His Name both in privacy and in relation to others, and the importance of goodness towards others.
